Planning & Zoning Department. The Planning and Zoning 
Department has two full-time employees who handle all 
permitting and enforcement of our zoning code. The volunteer
P & Z Commission applies/interprets the village code relating 
to zoning issues and requests.

COMMUNITY ACTION 
Compadres los Corrales: Contact: George Biehl. 

Corrales D.A.R.E. raises funds for youth awareness drug program activities.

Corrales Fire/Rescue Association sponsors the Fire Department's Christmas 
Drive provides food baskets and gifts for needy families. Requirements: 
Interest. Contact: 898-7501. 

Corrales Volunteer Fire Department provides fire fighting and rescue 
services, and participates in community events. Requirements: Submit 
application for junior membership 16-17 years of age; full membership 18 
years and over; resident of Corrales or Rio Rancho. Training program and 
emergency calls. 90-day probation; review process for membership approval.

Corrales Grower's Market provides assistance to Corrales' Farmers by 
organizing events, locations and funding for markets. They have 
open-to-the-public markets on Sunday's from 9 am to 12 noon and Wednesdays 
from 1 to 7 pm, April through November. Contact: Bonnie Gonzales at 
898-6336. 

Corrales Residents for Clean Air promotes waste reduction and monitors any 
activities that may be polluting Corrales air. Requirements: Interest. 
Contact: Martha Eagan at 898-7554 or Steve Martinez at 890-0242. If you feel 
that you need to make a report of pollution, forms are available at the 
Village Municipal Complex in the Administrative Office. 

Corrales Library Volunteers provide library service to the community 
involving all aspects of library functions. Requirements: Must be dependable 
and willing to take necessary training. Must have your own transportation.

Friends of the Corrales Library raise funds for any need at the Corrales 
Library. Requirements: Interest and a yearly membership fee. Contact: 
Corrales Library, Carla Spencer, at 897-0733. 

Neighborhood Watch protects neighborhoods from crime. Requirements: 
Interest. Contact Lieutenant John Laird at 897-1277. The meetings are held 
the first Thursday of each month at 7:30 pm in the Pueblo los Cerros Club 
House. 

Senior Citizens' Center provides meals, activities, etc. to seniors in the 
community. Requirements: Interest. Contact: Genova Aragon at 897-3818
